DBPower Hawkeye Quadcopter Drone with HD Camera

This DBPower Hawkeye Quadcopter Drone with HD Camera is small, fun, and durable. I have zero experience with flying these things, so I’ve crashed it many times, but it’s still intact and works great!

Because I’m a newbie, I’ve only flown it indoors. I don’t want to take the chance of losing it somewhere in the woods behind my house. Once I get a better hang of it, I think it’ll be a blast to use outdoors. I’d love to use it at family get-togethers to get birds-eye-view photos. How cool would those be? I’m guessing my husband or son will be able to maneuver the quadcopter much better than I can for stunning unique photos.

I can control the quadcopter in the following ways: accelerate or slow down, left or right, 360 flip, forward and backward, and (though I haven’t done it yet) moving along the floor and walls. There are different versions, but I’ve only tried the standard one. I’m sure my family will experiment with others—they’re a little more adventurous than I am.

As far as the 2mp camera – wow! It takes great quality HD still photos and video, (even for a newbie like me) and includes a 2gb SD card. I can even tilt the camera how I want, to get the most interesting angles.

This is a fun toy for me, but I know hubby will enjoy it even more. It has its own app (as easy to use as the transmitter.) I love this small copter, and how responsive it is, and the HD camera is icing on the cake.

I’ve provided photos of the copter out-of-the-box, and will soon add photos and videos of it flying. Though I was given a discounted price to test this device, I was not required to give a positive review. I am genuinely pleased with its functionality and entertainment value, and the photos and videos look fantastic! Would make a great gift for beginners.
