Polar Bear Wine Chiller Stick

This Polar Bear Wine Chiller Stick, sold by Giddy Up USA, came with no instructions of any sort. I suppose most people know how to use a chiller stick? I certainly didn’t, and wondered if I was supposed to fill the stick with water, or if it was already filled with some kind of gel. I guessed the later, and was correct. After placing it in the freezer overnight, I was pleased at how well it worked.

I can’t expect a chiller stick to get a bottle of wine refrigerator-cold, but it does a nice job when you’re in a pinch and want it slightly chilled below room temperature.

One suggestion is to pour some wine from the bottle before inserting the chiller stick or it will overflow.

This wine chiller package includes a chiller tube, removable pourere/aerator for easy cleaning, U-shaped foil cutter, and nylon travel bag. Although it may be handy to some, I doubt I’ll use the little travel bag other than to store my chiller stick and aerator when not in use. This kit would be a nice addition to a gift basket for a wine lover.
