This DBPower Portable DVD Player is a gem to have when I’m traveling, especially when
out of the country. My sister and I
traveled to Europe and took some DVD favorites with us, not realizing European
DVD players don’t use the same format. I own a MacBook that doesn’t have a DVD
drive, so we were out of luck.
If you have young children, this would be
a great car companion to keep them occupied, or even for everyday use.
This is a really cool product. Some of my
favorite features are the adjustable monitor that swivels (180 degrees to the
left, 90 degrees to the right) or lays flat against the housing, a remote
control, and 3-hour battery life—which allows me to watch a standard length
movie without having to plug it in.
The portable DVD player includes:

· Instruction booklet (not very useful.)
Pros:
· The video output is vibrant and sharp
· Sound is nice and clear
· Lightweight (great for packing for airline travel)
· Plastic (practical for children)
· Long battery life
· Multiple ways to charge (computer, car, wall)
· Multi-viewing angles
Cons:
· The game controller is basic and not very responsive
· The game CD is elementary ‘old school’ type games
· The instructions, using broken English, weren’t very useful to
me
The cons fall only on the game aspect,
which doesn’t really matter to me personally, (I only use it for movies and
music) but felt it worth mentioning for those who may think it’s a valuable
perk.
This unit comes in black or a pretty blue,
with a textured top that gives nice hold. It’s portable, convenient, doesn’t
take up much space or weight in luggage, and does a great job of playing my DVD
movies. Though I was given a discounted price to test this device, I was not required to give a positive review.
I am genuinely pleased with its functionality and convenience.

ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to purchase a portable DVD player and after reading this review, I know just which one to buy. Just last week I was standing in front of a store display, reading each box, examining the many options in DVD players. I left with nothing more than a confused look on my face. I just wish stores had your review posted so I knew the pros and cons of a product. Thank you for posting this, along with the clear photos. My mind is made up. This DVD player is just what I've been looking for!
